Our association was founded in 1995, it is an independent, environmental social organization for public use. Our aim is to protect the built and natural environment of the area near Hatvan, and to help the environmental education of the youth. Our members are private individuals, institutions and other social organizations. We stand against illegal litter-placing, help the environmental work of teachers in shools and nursery shools and we organize youth programmes, camps and tours. We work with the local governments of the area in the environmental programmes by taking part in it together. We work for the protection of our nature's values, we urge forming local environmental areas, protecting our natural values and economy which lies on economical bases. You can order our local publication called Hatvan Green News at our association's adress, which is free and it is published regularly. Our association is a member of the Hungarian Nature Protectional Association (Budapest) and the Életfa (Lifetree) Environmental Association (Eger). Short Summary:The Hatvan Environmental Association was founded in 15th February 1995 with 25 founder members. The aim of the association is to organize nature protectional education tasks in Hatvan and in the North-Hungarian region. Now our association has more than 100 members and 12 member organizations. From the foundation to 6th November 2001 the leader was Mester Zsolt. While he was the leader, the association became the biggest environmental non-profit organization of the area. We arranged more programmes and more times the whole city was involved in them. The most impartant was the Spring Litter Collecting Day which was held every year between 1996 and 2001. We arranged more exhibitions and we took part in many programmes organized together with the local government. In 2001 more than 1000 m3 illegal litter was placed on the dumpling ground by the association. In spring in 2002 we planted about 200 saplings, which was a result of a tree planting programme. By Mester Zsolt's guiding the association and its member association, the Natura Environmental Nature Protectional Association explorated Hatvan's small region environmental area and its protected species and values of its animal world. Their datas gave base to our city's litter economy plan and help to make its environmental conception. From November 2001 Füzér Zsolt has become the leader. Beside keeping the main function of the association his main aims are to make new programmes (performance series, tail writing competition for teachers), searching for new possibilities, and make the official and civil environmental protecting stronger. Our plans contains the solving of our regions' litter problems. As a part of our educational work we advertised an environmental tail writing competition. We take part in the country-wide litter collecting action (as the coordinator of Heves and Nógrád county). We are continiously maping the illegal litter unloading places. We started and now coordinating the forming of the 'Industrial Park for the environment association. We gave suggestions to declare some local areas protected. We work together and gave suggestions to companys charged with the city's litter economycal plan and the environmental conception. In autumn we have started the rehabilitation of the oakwood in Gombos. We worked together with the city TV and we made the first part of the educational series about the oakwood in Gombos. With the help of the city TV we arranged a public forum for the major nominees before the government elections in October ( only in environmental topic ). The association's programmes can be reached by anyone, some programmes are held to make the association's community stronger. One of them is the 'goulash party' and the trip which are arranged every year and each member and their family can take part in them for free.
